The Crossover King Ferry Corsten

Feeey Corsten was born in 1973 in the Netherlands. He produces trance music and is a well known DJ and loves to remix. Corstens Countdown is a radio show that is hosted weekly by Corsten and he performs avidly at many music venues the world over. He was voted as DJ Magazine’s number seven in their yearly listing of the top 100 DJ’s. Starting small time and working his way into the big time present music venues you will see him in, he has gained a very large group of followers and fans and that group continues to grow.

He produced his first record at the tender age of 16, but did not really start performing as extensively as he does of present day until he was in his late twenties. He released a record with a few friends and it won him his very first award in early 90’s. He went to school to study to become to be an electrical engineer and after he completed it, went on to further his education in the field.

He continued to be very interested in the trance scene as a whole and the music especially. He started to released singles of his own and put together amazing compilations of dance songs and music and awarded him platinum status in the UK. He has since won many awards for projects and performances. He has worked with many other famous trance and dance music artists and have had his most fun with remixing many of their songs.

He developed his own music label known as Flashover Recordings and in 2006 released the album L.E.F. He has also made many videos in support of his tracks and has earned him many titles and awards as well. He went live globally in 2007 on two different well known satellite radio stations and on Direct TV. His style and sound of music is what he considers a bit of everything from electro house, trance and even techno.
