The Famous Trance Musician Tiesto

The actually birth name of the famous Trance musician Tiesto is Tijs Michiel Verwest. He was born on January 17, 1969. He had a very early inclination as a child, to be drawn to all things musical. At the tender age of 14 he started becoming more focused and serious about a musical career and began to DJ at different clubs throughout the Netherlands. He was particularly inclined to play new beat and acid house types of music and liked to play many songs from the dance queen herself Madonna.

In the year 2000 his rise to fame launched with his ability to be the only DJ that could perform solo for a large crowd without any other acts or bands to help complete the performance. He continued to release his own solo albums starting in 2001 and after the release of his second, came the invitation to play live for the Olympic Games. He continued to release albums and compilations of his music. He received a grammy award last year in 2008. His album Kaleidoscope was release during October 2009.

His popularity and touring has taken him places the world over and one time was engaged to be married during 2008, but it did not work out due to his schedule and the constant delay of his wedding on his part. Over the years Tiesto has supported and raised much needed funds for causes like HIV/Aids through the Dance4Life foundation by recording a track called, “Dance4Life”. He has broadly worked in collaborations with many producers, musicians and other DJ’s to help raise awareness and funds for other charities and foundations as well.

The future for Tiesto looks to be one that is yet to unfold in other avenues of the Trance music world. With already many goals that have been reached through Trance, electronic, dance and progressive trance music by Tiesto. In 2008, Tiesto officially announced that his home turf was to be at the largest club in the world known by many as, “Privilege”. He just release his number four studio album title, “Kaleidoscope” in October 2009. He is still to present day performing at the club Privilege and continues to dominate the Trance music scene. He is truly one of the first individual pioneers who took this music genre to the level that it is today.
