In the late 80’s, Trance music was making a name for itself. Since then it has become more popular, but remains most popular in Europe. America is however running close by in second place. Trance music became popular with the younger sect and still is by a landslide. To find out the reason why Trance music has become so popular, one must dissect it a bit.

Trance music usually does not have any words to it, but in present day much of the music has been intertwined with vocals in remixes of many songs that are performed by singers. True Trance music however is popular with many due to its ability to be expressive without words. It has been labeled as an underground music and is truly in a class all its own. Trance music is very popular with individuals who frequent clubs who host all night Trance music parties that play the music all night long. These parties are known as Raves and Trance music is played in correlation with dancing beams of lights and such. Many claim that during these all night raves, they have experienced the feeling of being part of one big heart beat and claim that it gives them almost a music high.

With Trance becoming so popular, many individuals are still not so familiar with the music itself, so it is still in its infancy stage despite how long it has been around. The birth of Trance music is linked back to Germany. The music is in close relations with what is called electronica and techno. Trance music is a series of beats per minute and sometimes morphs into other beat structures at will.

Trance is very popular also due to its ability to get people moving and wanting to dance with its beats. It is also very popular in inner city nightclubs and heavily populated areas such as highly sought after vacation destinations around the world. Many festivals are now held specifically for this new music genre and many producers are rethinking their thoughts as to recognizing the music as an acceptable genre of music. We are seeing many famous DJ’s bringing Trance to many top dance clubs around the world.
